Today we took our unit test on the topic Mesopotamia and it was kind of hard, but it was also kind of easy. after the test we started working on our blog, tonight’s blog will be questions from the textbook.

delta- A landform that forms from deposition of sediment that is carried by a river.
Narmer-Narmer was an ancient Egyptian king of the Early Dynastic Period.
pharaoh- A ruler in ancient Egypt.
theocracy-a system of government in which priest’s rule in the name of God.
pyramid- a monumental structure with a square or triangular base.
mummification-a process in which the skin and flesh of a corpse can be a preserved.
hieroglyphic-writing consisting of hieroglyphs.
papyrus- a material prepared in ancient Egypt from the pithy stem of a water plant, used in sheets throughout the ancient Mediterranean world for writing or painting on and also for making rope, sandals, and boats.

I believe that Egypt being surrounded by desert benefited them because it helped them with invaders and shut the invaders out, so they did not battle as often.
4)
The Egyptians viewed the pharaoh as an ancient Egyptian political and religious leader of the people.
5)
Egyptians mummified bodies so they could preserve the bodies for the next life.
